The Concept

A deceptively simple, yet innovative dining experience. We believe food should be shared amongst friends and family. Our small plate format allows each client to try a variety of unique dishes within one dining experience. So do as the Europeans do, sit back, relax, drink and enjoy a slow, inspired meal with those who inspire you.

Our Values

We feel the responsibility. We aspire for the future. Efficiency, sustainability, awareness. But at the end of the day, the reason Chef JJ’s aspires to be “green” is simple: it’s doing the right thing for our children, our clients and us.

Chef JJ’s makes a continuous, conscious effort to provide a “green” or sustainable environment and reduce our carbon footprint. We can do more and we’re working on it. For now, we concentrate on:
1. Energy and water efficiency and conservation.
2. Recycle everything possible including composting all that we can.
3. Sustainable, local food, organic ideally.
4. Non-toxic cleaning and chemical products.
5. Ongoing education to staff and clients accordingly.

The Chef

Chef JJ Boston hails from the gorgeous Pacific Northwest where he grew up appreciating the beauty of his environment and the simplicity of fresh, local food. There is nothing he likes better than to relax outside with friends and family, drinking a craft beer and throwing some exotic meats on the Egg. After spending years in corporate kitchens cranking out the same recipes day in and day out, JJ decided it was time for a fresh change of pace. His passion is to change the definition of outdoor living into, quite frankly, an obsession for his clients.

Recognitions to Date

JJ has been featured in many publications numerous times; The Indianapolis Star Taste magazine, Spring 2007, cover and feature article; Indianapolis Monthly magazine, Summer 2007, feature article on grilling recipes; and most recently, in May 2008, the cover page and exclusive article in Indianapolis Dine Magazine. He had also been featured in over 50 newspapers across the country for his summer burger recipes in 2007.
